Hi, my name is Natalia. A Side of Simple is my outlet for sharing my passions, balancing the day-to-day, and gushing about my slight obsession with pb and horses.
To start, I love good food. Food that fuels the body, nourishes the soul, and eases your mind is real food. I’ve grown up around a kitchen. Mom could more often than not be found inside her “studio” creating and testing and cooking away delicious meals. To this day her passion for food and flavor is balanced with exercising and living a healthy lifestyle. She has always encouraged me to live a healthy life and to be good to my body (except when it comes to candy corns). Her love for food and health (oh, and horses) has clearly been passed down to me. Reading cookbooks, browsing health articles, and running the rail trail are all simple things that make my day.
This blog isn’t about my Mom, though, so I should tell you a bit more about myself. I love to write, read, and take pictures. I’m in my early 20′s, was born and raised in New York state, and I’m an Undergrad student with a major in English-Communications. I started off the year 2010 on a flight to Ireland where I vacationed studied abroad for five months. One of those months was spent completely backpacking through Europe and praying for a bed/shower every so often. Traveling really inspired me to relish the simple things in life, breathe in the moments, and thank God. This blog begins a new journey for me. I look forward to meeting you along the way!
